“Sea of Thieves” will be released for the PS5 at the end of April. Players have been able to take part in a closed beta since Friday. But what impression does it leave?

Shortly after the start of the closed beta of “Sea of Thieves,” Rare admitted on Twitter/X that it due to the influx of players there are longer waiting times can come.

A technical error was later discovered that sometimes prevents connection to the local servers. Higher network latency, delays, rubber banding and matchmaking problems may result. For comparison: the rare title is in the PlayStation Store anyway for just 39.99 euros available, which represents half of what Ubisoft costs for the AAAA game “Skull and Bones” would like to have.
The full version of “Sea of Thieves” will be released on April 30, 2024 for the PS5 after the title has been on Xbox consoles and PC since 2018.
