A look at the current streaming charts from Amazon’s provider certainly holds a surprise. A four-year-old video game adaptation that started with great expectations has currently made itself comfortable in Prime Video’s top 10.
Nathan Drake (Tom Holland) ekes out an existence as a bartender in New York until experienced treasure hunter Victor “Sully” Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg) hires him for a risky expedition. Together they set out to search for a legendary treasure that was once attributed to the Magellan expedition. At the same time, they hope to find clues about Nathan’s brother Sam, who has been missing for years.
On their journey, Nathan and Sully find themselves in a race against the unscrupulous Santiago Moncada (Antonio Banderas), who sees the treasure as the rightful family inheritance. The hunt is supported by the clever treasure hunter Chloe Frazer (Sophia Ali), whose loyalty is repeatedly tested. As the group follows ancient mysteries and overcomes dangerous traps around the globe, Nathan must learn who he can trust and what makes a true adventurer.
