Hype & outcry about Dragon's Dogma 2!

Oh yes, it really is that good: In episode Numero 78 of the PC Games Podcast we dive deep into Capcom's currently extremely popular (and widely criticized) Dragon's Dogma 2. The sequel to the RPG insider tip from 2012 takes us into a western fantasy world and impresses with many great game systems and ideas. Particularly cool: If you only know open game worlds with observation towers and a number of icons on the world map, you might have a bit of a hard time with the brand new Capcom title. Because, instead of relying on modern gameplay elements, as we know from Assassin's Creed or Team Ninja's current competitor, Rise of the Ronin, the Japanese studio throws “all the old stuff” like quest symbols over the heads of NPCs or other assistance quite blatantly overboard. Not only is this refreshing, it actually allows you to explore the game world the way it deserves to be explored.

But clearly, Not everything about Dragon's Dogma 2 makes you jump for joy. Our moderator Maci Naeem Cheema grabbed co-moderator Michael Grünwald and editor Matthias Dammes for our almost 35-minute podcast and, in addition to the many highlights of the single-player role-playing game, also talks extensively about the big topic, which is causing a stir, especially on the Internet and among fans ensures: the microtransactions built in by Capcom.
