How to enable hotspot and share Internet from iPhone to Mac via USB cable
1. Connect iPhone to Mac with a cable. If the iPhone prompts “Trust this computer?» select «Trust“.
2. Open the app Settings on iPhone (not Control Center, namely Settings) and turn off wifi and bluetooth.
3. App Settings on iPhone, go to cellular and select the menu “Modem Mode“.
4. Turn off the option Allow othersif it was enabled.
5. Enable option Allow others and in the window that appears select “USB only“.
6. Turn off Wi-Fi on Mac.
7. Open the app System settings on a Mac and go to Net. Near “iPhone USB» you will see the status Connected and a green dot, which indicates that the connection was successfully established.
