At Gamescom 2026 in Cologne in August, Ikea and Xbox presented their unusual collaboration to a broad audience for the first time. It becomes clear right from the unveiling: There is more to YXSTABY than just a common logo on well-known Ikea furniture. Designers and product developers from Ikea and Xbox developed the collection together from the start. In so-called co-creation teams, one person from both design teams worked together. Xbox’s gaming and controller know-how met Ikea’s experience with living spaces and everyday use.

The result is intended to be a collection that no longer treats gaming as a separate corner of the home. Instead, the boundaries between gaming setup and living room are blurring: a mobile TV stand, seating and practical accessories should be able to be flexibly integrated into everyday life. We were able to see the new collection ourselves at Gamescom – and it quickly became apparent that YXSTABY is much more than just an ordinary brand collaboration.

We give you a first insight into the collection from October 1, 2026 in Ikea furniture stores and also online from October 15 will be available.
