But this doesn't mean that Larian is done with the popular role-playing game. After almost a week ago Hotfix #22 has been released, players on all platforms can now download Hotfix #23. The latest patch also puts an end to the antics that allowed users to dupe retailers with bags.

Hotfix #23 helps the game economy get back on track

One of the most important changes in the new Update #23 is that players will no longer be able to rush the merchants in Baldur's Gate 3. For some unknown reason, the in-game merchants had difficulty properly pricing items when placed in a bag. For example, players only paid the price for a healing potion, even if they filled their pockets with potions.

However, that is now over. “No more free meals!” wrote the Larian developers in the official patch notes. “The Baldur's Gate merchants have also spoken with our people, and we agree that the container-based antics, while amusing, are detrimental to the economy,” the developers said. “That’s why we’ve fixed several buying and selling bugs in this update.”

In addition, several other possible errors and crashes were fixed with Hotfix #23. User interface, scripting and gameplay issues have also been addressed. Among other things, the bug that caused party members to incorrectly not be grouped has been fixed and saves in this incorrect state have been corrected. Random dialogue issues such as repeating lines and options not displaying correctly have also been resolved with the latest update for the role-playing game.
