In a democracy there is voting. And because Helldivers 2 is a very democratic co-op shooter, elections are now taking place there in a sense! We're talking about two new support weapons (called stratagems in the game) that players will have delivered to the battlefield from their destroyer.
The agony of choice: In order for the weapons to end up in the arsenal, the community must work together via “Major Order” to liberate the planet where the respective technology is currently being developed.
According to the developer, there is only enough time for one: only the stratagem whose planet is conquered first will be unlocked. So now it's up to the players where they park their ships and go into action.

Helldivers 2 does what others only try to do!
Which weapons are available?
- The RL-77 Airburst Rocket Launcher will be unlocked when the community first liberates the planet Penta. This is a shoulder-launched weapon with a warhead that covers an entire area with multiple explosions.
- The MD-17 anti-tank mines will be unlocked when fans first play Planet Coohe at 100 percent. The mines can be requested directly from orbit and cause particularly severe damage to armored opponents.
How do the fans decide?
The airburst rocket launcher is clearly more popular, because while Penta has already been completely cleared of enemies, the Helldivers troops are still in front of Coohe – first, adjacent planets have to be taken.
The decisive factor is this Course of the galactic campaign. This is a meta-game in Helldivers 2: Every successful mission on a planet pays into its “liberation account”.
Once he is pacified, the front shifts for all Helldivers players and new planets can be flown to. At the same time, the AI is also planning counter-offensives and retaking sectors.
Is both possible?
The Major Order shall end on April 29th. Of course, fans are now wondering whether the second planet can still be conquered before the time limit expires:

Unlocking both weapons and thus eliminating the developers' obligation to make decisions would be an immense collective success for the community.
A dramatic race against time is likely to break out in the last few hours. What will become of the MD-17 anti-tank mines if the venture fails is uncertain.
