As Thomas Petersson alias “Twinbeard” announced, he is resigning from his position as community manager of the cooperative shooter “Helldivers 2” with immediate effect. As a farewell, Petersson turned to the players with a request.
Since the release of “Helldivers 2” In February, the developers of Arrowhead maintained direct contact with the community and the players of the co-op shooter.
Always at the forefront: the community manager Thomas Petersson alias “Twinbeard”, who regularly exchanged ideas with the players on the studio’s official Discord, among other things. In addition, “Twinbeard” collected feedback from the community and passed it on to the Arrowhead developers to work on further updates and improvements.
Shortly after “Helldivers 2” won the Golden Joystick Awards as the best multiplayer title of the year was awardedsaid “Twinbeard” on the official Discord knownthat yesterday, Friday, was his last day as community manager of the co-op shooter.
According to the community manager, Shooter is in good hands
In his farewell statement, “Twinbeard” admitted that not all updates to “Helldivers 2” were completely convincing. The bottom line is that the cooperative shooter is in good hands and faces a “bright future. Petersson said: “There were some difficult phases. But I always felt like we braved fire tornadoes and sandstorms together.”
“We fought the alien scum and the bot plague on the battlefield, experienced the same bugs, and turned the tide together. Helldivers 2 is a much healthier game today than it was a few months ago and, together with all of you, has a bright future ahead of it.”
The outgoing community manager continued: “Thank you for sticking with us – with us at Arrowhead and with me during my time here. Most of you know I don’t blab or lie.”
“So know that it comes from my heart when I say that I am forever grateful to you for taking me on this incredible hell trip.”
Players should be patient with the developers
Finally, Petersson turned to the community with a request. He asks players to “be patient with all the hard-working developers when things sometimes take a little longer than originally planned.” Even though “Twinbeard” has resigned from his position as community manager, he will remain loyal to “Helldivers 2” and the co-op shooter community.
However, his future statements will no longer represent Arrowhead or the team responsible for “Helldivers 2,” as he emphasizes.
As Arrowhead announced at the Golden Joystick Awards, the cooperative shooter on the PC and PS5 now has more than 15 million players. Of course it shouldn't stay that way. Instead, Arrowhead plans to provide long-term support with updates and new content.
