What are these headphones for PS5?
Sony's Pulse Explores are mainly intended for the PS5, with which they will show their full potential. The headphones also take up the visual codes of the console with the same black and white color, as well as the PlayStation logo proudly attached to the earpieces. A successful style, but one that you will have to assume if you go out with it. The charging case is not forgotten and directly takes up the design of the PS5. Planar magnetic transducers do not offer the warmest sound possible, but the roundness of the bass is enough to provide ample sound. The sound is balanced, even if the treble is sometimes shy, and the instruments and vocals come through quite well. These aren't the best headphones for listening to music, but are great for playing games, especially with 3D virtualization. Without performing any miracles, the microphone is doing quite well.
The headphones are compatible with PlayStation Link, to reduce latency as much as possible. They connect easily using the included PlayStation Link USB adapter. The latter allows them to be connected to other devices, PC, Mac, or even Nintendo Switch. Finally, in terms of autonomy, count on around 5 hours of use.
