Hades 2 Presentation
Hades 2 is a roguelike/lite action game that follows the first game Hades. Here we control Mélinoé, daughter of Hades and sister of Zagreus (the hero of the first episode), who aims to kill the titan Cronos, who has embarked on a war against the gods of Olympus. The goal of the game is to travel through various environments until the final boss, without dying, with the help of blessings granted by gods that will change the way we play and make Melinoe more powerful.
When and where is Hades 2 released?
Hades 2 is already available since May 6, 2024 in early access on Steam, GOG and Epic Games Store. The release date for version 1.0 is not known but the full game should arrive sometime in 2025.
How long will Hades 2 Early Access last?
Nothing has been indicated by Supergiant Games but we already know that Hades 2 is expected to remain in early access at least until the end of 2024. The game's first big update is only planned a few months after the launch of early access.
Will Hades 2 be released on consoles?
A priori, Hades 2 should logically be released on PS5, Xbox Series and even Switch (or on the future Nintendo console) from version 1.0 if the game follows the same pattern as the first episode.
Will Hades 2 be released in a physical edition?
Here again, if we rely on the first episode, Hades 2 is likely to be released in a physical edition later. Not now, given that it is only in early access, nor perhaps even at its real launch, but a boxed version should logically arrive one day or another.
Is Hades 2 translated into French?
Hades 2 has French texts and subtitles, even during early access. All dubs, however, are in English.
What is the Hades 2 Early Access content?
The content offered during the launch of Hades 2 is already higher than Hades offered with its early access. We thus find 6 different biomes (another will arrive shortly) and the presence of the final boss. 5 weapons are already available out of the 6 planned, and the majority of the cast is already integrated. Only a few portraits are still unfinished, while the story stops at a specific point and does not feature the true ending of the game.

Can you play co-op in Hades 2?
No cooperative or multiplayer mode is planned for Hades 2which is a single-player game only.
Can you play Hades 2 without having played the first game?
It is entirely possible to appreciate Hades 2 without having played the first Hadesalthough there are many references made to the first episode.
What are the differences between Mélinoé and Zagreus?
The core of the gameplay does not change, but Mélinoé is not just a simple copy of Zagreus. As a witch, she fights using spells and therefore draws on a bar of mana, which recharges between each fight. She also has very different weapons such as a staff, magic torches or even a large axe.
What are the main new features of Hades 2?
Apart from the new protagonist, Hades 2 introduces quite a few new features such as a resource collection system, with tools to choose from to collect materials which are used to unlock permanent improvements in the game. We also note the presence of familiars, small creatures which accompany you during your outings to lend you a hand. The presence of two paths is also something new, with two very distinct routes to choose from each night. Finally, we will also notice the presence of many additional characters, such as Apollo, Moros, Hestia and many others that we let you discover.
Can you play Easy mode in Hades 2?
Hades 2 doesn't really have a difficulty mode per se but it does have a “Divine mode”. By activating the latter, Mélinoé will be significantly more resistant, allowing you to take less damage and making your journey easier. Keep in mind, however, that failure is a central mechanic in Hades 2, which advances the storyline, the relationships between the characters, but also Mélinoé herself. So don't be afraid of dying several (dozens of) times before beating the final boss.
