Fans have been waiting for the successor to Grand Theft Auto 5 for many years. But Rockstar likes to take its time. A leak now makes it clear that fans of Red Dead Redemption could soon get their money's worth.
Red Dead Redemption on PC: It could be happening soon
The first Red Dead Redemption is now already 14 years old. Despite this, it has never appeared on PC in all these years. However, that could soon change. The usually well-informed Rockstar insider Tez2 claims to have found the crucial clue.
On X (formerly Twitter) the leaker writes that the Rockstar launcher has new information available after an update. There are clear indications of one in the data that is not publicly visible Red Dead Redemption PC port and the Undead Nightmare expansion. The text reads as follows:
Journey across the vast territories of the American West and Mexico in Red Dead Redemption and its zombie horror expansion Undead Nightmare, now playable on PC.
According to Tez2 the text is one “Marketing string”. GTA 5 would be promoted in a similar format in the launcher. Of course, the information is currently just a rumor that has not been confirmed by Rockstar. So enjoy it with caution.
Red Dead Redemption is already available on PS4 and Switch
Red Dead Redemption was originally only released for the PS3 and Xbox 360. Last year, developer Rockstar Games proved that he could western hit has not forgotten. However, the port for PS4 and Nintendo Switch was immediately criticized for its high price.
A late PC release could also keep fans busy while they wait for the release of GTA 6. Since the first trailer, Rockstar has been keeping up official information back. There is also no release date. Of course, this only leaves more room for rumors about possible postponements. However, many players are about to face another disappointment. GTA 6 will also not appear on the PC when it is released. In that case, hopefully it won't take 14 years.
