Gray Zone Warfare: Tactical shooter hope goes into early access

Gray Zone Warfare has just completed a closed test phase with a few streamers and things are already getting down to business, as the game will go into real early access starting tomorrow.

Gray Zone Warfare has been under observation by shooter fans for weeks and months and is considered a hot competitor, especially to Escape from Tarkov. It's no wonder that the tactical military shooter is currently number 7 on the Steam wishlist and now there's even better news.

After a closed test phase with various streamers and press representatives was organized from April 18th to 24th, the game officially starts tomorrow, Tuesday at 3 p.m exclusively on Steam into Early Access, as Czech developers Madfinger Games announced today.

Gray Zone Warfare relies on a 42 m² open game world with tactical shooter gameplay and extraction elements, where you encounter both human and computer-controlled opponents – typical PvPvE gameplay. Up to 48 human players and over 1,000 AI units are said to be there.

You take on the role of a mercenary from a military company and deal with a realistic scenario on Lamang Island and gameplay that is as authentic as possible. A total of over 150 different tasks await you, which you can complete both solo and in teams of up to four people.

You have an extensive arsenal of realistic weapons and equipment at your disposal, which can also be individually adapted, for example through weapon attachments. Survival elements come into play through a new health system, in which injuries have a concrete impact on the player, for example on perception and performance.

You can get Gray Zone Warfare from 34.99 euros for the Standard Edition Action with bonus equipment, a basic locker and a locker. The Tactical Edition costs 57.99 euros and the Elite Edition is 79.99 euros and includes additional equipment, lockers and lockers to optimize operational effectiveness. The highest level, the Supporter Edition, is available for 99.99 euros for the most dedicated community members who want to support development and receive additional cosmetic items.

How long the early access phase will last is not yet known. The developers say: “We will release regular updates with new content that will advance the development of the game world, add new weapons and equipment, release new missions and tell the story through the environment, as well as optimizations and bug fixes before the Early -Access phase ends. The phase could last several years, it depends on the feedback from the community and the fulfillment of our shared vision.”
