The two free games of the moment on the Epic Games Store

This week, the Epic Games Store is highlighting two independent titles for its free games. These therefore have a relatively short lifespan, ideal for small sessions from time to time. As noted above, we therefore have Industria and Lisa Definitive Edition in the running.

Industry

We start with Industria, an FPS developed by Bleakmill and released in 2021. As its name does not indicate, our objective is to rescue a scientist. In doing so, we are transported into a parallel world imbued with a deliciously strange steampunk atmosphere. The title displays some chemistry with big names in the genre like Half-Life. If this intriguing program has aroused your curiosity, here is the opportunity to try it at no cost via the Epic Games Store. Note that the game pays for its very successful atmosphere with a lifespan of around 5 hours.

Lisa Definitive Edition

Radical change in gameplay and atmosphere for the second free game currently offered on the Epic Games Store with Lisa Definitive Edition. Developed by Dingaling Productions, it is a 2D game that will delight retrogaming enthusiasts. We play a survivor in the postapocalyptic world of Olathe, while women seem to have disappeared. Beneath its pixelated finery lies an atmosphere mixing dark humor and sinister poetry. The game was in any case praised by the players. It's up to you to see for free if the formula also works for you.

The next free game already known

After these two independent and unique titles, the Epic Games Store will operate its traditional rotation of free games on Thursday at 5 p.m. They will then give way to another title very popular with players: Orcs Must Die! 3. As its name suggests, this title developed by Robot Entertainment and released in 2020 asks us to massacre orcs en masse. This involves a particularly well-built tower defense, which is also playable in cooperation.
