The Federal Tax Service (FTS) submitted to the court data on the income of the American company Google in Russia, reports RBC with reference to the text of the decision of the Tagansky Court of December 24, 2021.
In accordance with the practice of the world and district courts, all personal data and specific dates were deleted from the document. At the same time, the motivational part allows us to draw a conclusion about Google’s income in Russia, the publication explains. So, according to RBC, in the period for 2020, the company earned about 144.4 billion rubles in Russia.
December 24, 2021 Tagansky Court of Moscow appointed Google’s turnover penalty (i.e., a penalty dependent on the company’s revenue) in the amount of more than 7.2 billion rubles. The fine was imposed for the systematic failure to remove information prohibited in Russia.
Earlier court fined Twitter for another 3 million rubles for refusing to remove prohibited information, the total amount of fines imposed on the company reached 58 million rubles.
