Get ready for season 4: The big reveal and surprises in store

A few days ago, Blizzard surprisingly indicated that Blizzcon would not take place in 2024. As a reminder, this annual event (in principle) is above all an opportunity for the publisher to share its major announcements on its main games such as Diablo 4, World of Warcraft or Overwatch 2 while bringing its community together. However, between the Covid 19 pandemic, layoffs, budget reduction and especially the digitalization of events linked to video games, organizing this meeting is becoming more and more complex.

However, the developers have already explained that they will find other ways to communicate with fans and have already given dates. “Over the coming months, we will give you more details on the new features that will be available later this year. […] We will soon share promising plans for other industry trade shows and conventions, such as Gamescom“, declared the company in a press release. Until then, Blizzard will continue with its regular schedule and the publisher has just announced the next major event for Diablo 4.

Diablo 4 will reveal its new season

Mark your calendars! Blizzard invites you to a live, May 2 at 8 p.m. (French time). The opportunity for developers to present season 4 of Diablo 4 and its new features. During this live, you will meet: Associate Community Director Adam Fletcher, Joseph Piepiora (Associate Game Director), Adam Jackson (Lead Class Designer), Colin Finer (Lead Live Game Designer) and Lead Season Designer Eric Nunez. They will discuss together the roadmap for season 4, but also the feedback from the public test realm (PTR). This test phase allowed some lucky people to try out this new season in preview, during the period from April 2 to 9, 2024.

We also recall that the official start of season 4 of Diablo 4 has been pushed back to Tuesday May 14, 2024, at 8 p.m., so that developers can make final changes based on player feedback. What can we expect from season 4?

If you were able to participate in the famous Diablo 4 PTR, still expect to be surprised, because Adam Fletcher explained that many more features would be revealed before the official release of season 4. At the same time, we still knows little about it, because even its theme has not yet been revealed. However, player feedback has allowed us to learn that La Fosse aux artifices will be subject to numerous modifications. We will also see the return of the boss of season 2, Lord Zir (as a summonable boss), alongside Andarielle. Hopefully this Blizzard stream will teach us more.
