Real bargain hunters may already have The Outer Worlds in the Spacer's Choice Edition in their game library, because the sci-fi RPG was already offered for free by Epic Games for Christmas 2023.

Who is The Outer Worlds worthwhile for?

In the GIGA test, The Outer Worlds received a rating of 8.5 out of 10 possible points to reach. Colleague Alexanders Gehlsdorf was quite impressed by the space adventure. You may look in vain for real innovations, but if you haven't really warmed up to the more recent games from BioWare and Bethesda and are looking for an adequate alternative, you should definitely give The Outer Worlds a chance.

Anyone who takes a look at the user ratings on Metacritic for The Outer Worlds and Starfield will see that that the PC version of The Outer Worlds performs better. Starfield only achieved a measly 5.6 points. For The Outer Worlds it is at least 7.3 points – at least for the original version from 2020. The Spacer's Choice Edition currently has a rating of 6.0 points, but this is mainly due to the fact that the performance of the PC version at the time of release was a disaster (source: Metacritic).

However, Obsidian has since released a few updates that have fixed the problem. The bottom line is that the original still runs more smoothly. However, this is not surprising considering that the Spacer's Choice Edition is a significantly better graphics offers.

Epic Games is expected to give away The Outer Worlds in the Spacer's Choice Edition from April 4th at 4:00 p.m. to April 11th at 4:00 p.m. So far it's only a leak, but since billbil-kun has been right with every one of his predictions so far, we firmly assume that this will be the case again this time.
