On which day can you find which YouTuber and influencer at Gamescom 2024? The answer is complicated – at least at this point.
Gronkh, HandOfBlood, Holly, Gnu, iCrimax, Sterzik, the Rocket Beans and – of course – Montanablack: all of them and many, many more were guests at Gamescom 2023. Many will also be at Gamescom 2024 from August 21st to 25th YouTube, Twitch and TikTok stars are expected – which ones and on which day are unfortunately often only determined at very short notice.
The reason: The prominent figures are usually booked by organizers and exhibitors for stage shows and autograph sessions. In most cases, the respective dates are fixed immediately before the trade fair, pushed back and forth several times and only communicated when the 'slots' have been confirmed and negotiated by all sides. The exact procedure for the Meet & Greets in the so-called 'Signing Area' is also subject to ongoing changes.
Experience has shown that any halfway concrete statements can unfortunately only be expected at the beginning of August.
For fans who have a specific YouTuber or streamer in mind and are currently planning visits and travel, this is of course rather moderately good news. Because that means you have to buy a pig in a poke and order Gamescom tickets at random (advance sales have been running since the end of March). Unfortunately, cancellation, rebooking and exchange are not possible.
Tip 1: Experience has shown that there are a particularly large number of influencers in the halls on the trade visitor and media day (Wednesday, August 21st). Private visitors usually do not have access on this day. Exception: Holders of so-called wild cards. This limited ticket allows you to visit the entertainment area from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., but not the business area and the 'Creator Lounge'. The purchase options for wild cards have been raffled off in recent years – in 2024 you can order these cards regularly in the online shop. The price is €64 clearly above the fares of regular day tickets.
Tip 2: Many social media personalities also don't miss the opening show Gamescom: Opening Night Live. Tickets for the evening event on August 20th (Tuesday) are not yet available.
