Gameplay trailer shows the new exclusion zone

“Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone” from developers The Farm 51 will be released next year. A new trailer shows that the action RPG is more fantastic than its predecessor from 2021.

It was only in August that the Polish developers of The Farm 51 announced a successor to the one released in 2021 “Chernobylite” to. Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone is scheduled to be released in 2025 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch.

A new gameplay trailer now shows what fans can expect from the upcoming action RPG. As the developers themselves state, more fantasy and sci-fi elements will play a role in the second part of the series.

Successor shows a changed exclusion zone

Like its predecessor, “Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone” boasts a highly realistic open game world. However, as you can see in the new trailer, the second part isn't quite as realistic as players are used to.

Because the story should build on the events of the first part. According to the developers, there are definitely more sci-fi elements in Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone, but that should make sense if you've followed the story of the first game.

The clip shows huge machine monsters that players have to take on solo or in a team. Exploring the exclusion zone again plays a major role, especially in daylight. However, when night falls, the zone turns into a real nightmare.

Players are divided over what is shown

“Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone” wants to offer its players different factions, base building and character development. There is also an optional online co-op mode that has been integrated into the campaign.

Not all viewers on YouTube are happy about the new scenes. The departure from realism in particular causes some players to have doubts. Another point of criticism is the combat in the third-person perspective, while the exploration and other features of the game take place in first-person.
