Dans ce guide, nous vous apprenons comment désactiver Lumen pour supprimer les ombres laides et bruyantes et augmenter les FPS.

Pourquoi?

Lumen est la solution d'Unreal Engine pour un éclairage global dynamique. Si vous ne comprenez pas ces mots, veuillez les lire comme « un mauvais tueur de performance qui rend la lumière faible lentement et les ombres bruyantes ». C'est vraiment moche et j'ai cherché partout comment le désactiver et r/engineini m'a donné quelques réponses, alors j'ai décidé de partager mes découvertes avec vous !

Suivre ce guide entraînera :

  • Suppression des ombres bruyantes
  • Suppression de l'atténuation dynamique de l'éclairage
  • Augmentation du FPS

Clause de non-responsabilité

Rien n’est jamais gratuit, et cette modification présente donc un inconvénient. Il y aura beaucoup d'ombres manquantes. Si cela vous convient, commençons.

1. Recherchez le fichier de configuration

Accédez à : C:UsersAppDataLocalAbioticFactorSavedConfigWindows

2. Ouvrez Engine.ini

Ouvrez Engine.ini dans un éditeur de texte de votre choix (vous pouvez même utiliser le bloc-notes).

4. Enregistrez le fichier, fermez-le, lancez le jeu

Assurez-vous de sauvegarder le fichier. Fermez-le et démarrez le jeu, désormais avec 200 % de pixels plus nets et moins de bruit de tracé.
