As is well known, Star Wars Day is celebrated every year on May 4th aka “May the 4th” – and Epic Games is using this as an opportunity to once again hold a major Star Wars promotion in Fortnite. This will start tomorrow, May 3rd, as part of the update to version 29.40 and will bring with it all sorts of content from the sci-fi franchise, which Epic Games has now named more specifically.

In LEGO Fortnite The ships of the Rebels and the Empire crash-landed – including the Star Destroyer. You have to help the rebels survive and build their place. You can also fight against the Empire with lightsabers, create new Star Wars items and explore much more. There is also a new island that will remain even after the update ends.

You can also complete missions and progress to unlock free in-game rewards with the LEGO Pass: Rebel Adventurers. This also includes buildings and decorations from the Mos Eisley set, including the famous Mos Eisley Cantina.

In the classic Fortnite: Battle Royale you can head to an Imperial roadblock to rescue the cult character Chewbacca, who will support you in battle with his trusty bowstringer. You can also obtain the Bowstring from Imperial Chests at Stormtrooper Roadblocks across the island. There are also new Star Wars missions and returning elements such as the Darth Vader boss fight, stormtrooper NPCs, E-11 blasters and more. The content is available here until May 14th.

The musical mode Fortnite Festival gets an area inspired by Mos Eisley's Cantina. There are also special missions to level up in the Battle Pass and unlock the “Seven-String Hallikset” guitar.

Rocket Racing will receive its own Star Wars missions starting May 3rd and additional new additions on this front starting May 7th, 2024. Those who complete these can unlock the pod racer-inspired track “Energy Clutch.” There is also a separate set of missions through which you can obtain the “Anakin's Podracer” and “Darth Maul” stickers.

Finally, that remains Item shop, where new items can be purchased. Among them are the outfits “Dagobah-Luke”, “Lando Calrissian” and “AWR Trooper”, the body “Beskar”, which is also available to Rocket League players, the jam song “Cantina Band” (also known as “Mad About Me”) and more!
