Fortnite further deteriorated on iOS with January 30th update

Epic Games will limit the possibilities of Fortnite

In addition to the new age limit, Fortnite for iOS and macOS will not allow users to spend V-Bucks in an upcoming server-side update.

Apple removed the popular game from the App Store in 2020 after Epic Games bypassed the App Store commission. Now this old but still functional version will have limitations starting January 30th.

Players using the August 2020 iOS and Mac version of Fortnite 13.40 will prevent players from spending V-Bucks, the in-game currency. The game also requires gamers to be over the age of 18, and people must agree to the new terms.

The update limits some gameplay options as players can use V-Bucks to purchase season passes, character skins, and other items such as weapons. It’s not clear when the old version will stop being supported at all, but that day seems to be fast approaching.

Company Fortnite Status Account on twitter said that Epic Games wants all versions of the game to use the current set of Epic Online Services. These services include parental controls, default purchases, and parental verification features.
