First Suicide Squad update: nerfs, bugs, new rankings… | Xbox

A first update for Suicide Squad

Available now, this first update mainly focuses on fixing burn damage which increased with both player damage buffs and enemy debuffs.

This allowed players to achieve abnormally high mastery scores, pushing the studio to create new rankings:

This patch mainly fixes some bugs and difficulty scaling issues that affected players when they reached the highest mastery levels (40+). We hope these changes will provide you with a more balanced, varied, and enjoyable experience as you take on ever greater challenges!

The studio also explains that it is aware that many players are also experiencing matchmaking, performance connection and progression issues which are not corrected with this update, and ensures that the teams are on the spot:

While we haven't been able to implement these fixes in this update, please know that we are aware of the frustration they can cause and are working to make additional improvements in future updates.

You will therefore find below the patch note for the first update of the game, which will hopefully be followed by other fixes shortly.

Remember that Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice Leage is playable now on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC and that our test of the game is accessible at this address.

Patch note of the update

Bugfix :

  • Fixed a bug that caused Burn damage to increase with both player damage buffs and enemy debuffs.
    • Burn damage should now only scale with enemy debuffs.
  • Fixed a bug that allowed Toyman to stack the same increase on your equipment multiple times.
  • Fixed a bug where changes to your gear augmentations could sometimes not be saved after leaving a multiplayer session and joining a single player session.

Changes in this version:

  • The “Heat Wave's Molten” and “The Turtle's Shell” skins have their damage reduction reduced from 100% to 90%.
  • Due to some players exploiting certain mission mechanics, vehicles killed during Gizmo Support Squad missions no longer grant XP. -**You will still receive XP for completing the mission.
  • With the Burn damage fix, players will have less chance of reaching the same level of mastery as before. Therefore, we will create new rankings in the interest of fairness.
    • Fear not, we will archive existing leaderboards, so those currently at the top of the leaderboard will continue to live in infamy!
  • With the arrival of the Scorch damage scaling fix and concerns about running into a wall while leveling up, we've reduced the enemy health scaling for Mastery Levels 46 and more.
  • To maintain the challenge, enemies of Mastery Level 46 and above will now deal more damage.
