The time will soon come and with “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes” the next chapter of the iconic film series will start in our cinemas. To get you in the mood, you can now watch the final trailer for the action film.
We only have to be patient for a few more days before we can “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes” or “Planet of the Apes: New Kingdom”, the next part of the legendary film series starts in our cinemas. To sweeten the wait for fans for the long-awaited new chapter of the franchise, 20th Century Studios has now released the official final trailer for the action film. After the recent “Planet of the Apes” film trilogy successfully breathed new life into the brand, the film series is now taking the leap into the future with “New Kingdom”. The new story is more precise around 300 years after Caesar's adventures. Humans have long since ceased to be the dominant species on Earth and the intelligent monkeys have developed their own culture and built their own empires.
Nobody stops their rule
Since Caesar's time has now passed, come along Noah a new main character comes into focus. The chimpanzee is a warrior who appears in “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes”. Proximus Caesar clashes with the king of a great monkey kingdom. He not only wants to hunt people with his army, but also subjugate other clans. Noa and a young human woman named Mae embark on a dangerous journey to stop Proximus.
By the way, “New Kingdom” is still about Mae or Nova, as she is called by Noa and his friend Raka a great mystery. She is clearly different from the other people who have forgotten how to speak due to a virus mutation from the reboot trilogy. The fact that she can articulate her thoughts well will probably surprise not only Noa and Raka over the course of the action film.

Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes was created by Wes Ball (“Mazerunner – The Chosen in the Labyrinth”) based on a screenplay by Josh Friedman (“War of the Worlds”). The film stars Owen Teague (“The Stand”) as Noa, Freya Allan (“The Witcher”) as Mae and Kevin Durand (“X-Men Origins: Wolverine”) as Proximus Caesar. Other roles include Peter Macon (“The Orville”) and William H. Macy (“Shameless”).
“Planet of the Apes: New Kingdom” opens in German cinemas on May 8, 2024.
