Since Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is the second part of the planned remake trilogy, many of you are wondering before it starts: How long does the JRPG actually last? We’ll tell you the playing time for the main story, side quests and 100% completion and also show an overview of all chapters.

How long does Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth last?

Important note: There are no spoilers in this article! In order to achieve this, the last three chapters are not mentioned by name because the respective title could already give you an idea. That’s why the last three chapters are listed as question marks. So don’t be surprised.

If you focus solely on the main story, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will take you about 50 to 55 hours. This means that the second part of the remake series is significantly more extensive than Final Fantasy 7 Remake. However, as soon as you devote yourself to the numerous side missions, mini-games and open-world activities, the playing time increases noticeably.

  • Main story only: 50-55 hours
  • Main story + side quests: 70-85 hours
  • 100% Completion and Platinum Trophy: approx. 120-200 hours

If you want to unlock all trophies, the playing time will be extended again because you also have to play through the game on the “Hard” difficulty level. However, Hard only unlocks after you finish the main campaign for the first time. If you want to shorten the game length in your second run, you can skip the video sequences. This saves you a lot of time.
