Games from the universe of The Lord of the Rings are either great or a flop. However, Tales of the Shire seems to be exactly what many players have been waiting for: a mix of Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley, paired with The Lord of the Rings.
Tales of the Shire: Trailer delights players
Fans have faced dangers in “The Lord of the Rings Online”, fought against orcs in Moria or sneaked through Mordor as Gollum – but hardly anyone has played a hobbit, at least not in a personalized way and in a world as picturesque as the one to come Game Tales of the Shire offers. However, from the comments under the recently published trailer you can see that some fans have been waiting for exactly this like YouTube user p-geluk:

Tales of the Shire is developed by Wētā Workshop and published by Take 2 Interactive. You create a hobbit, decorate your hobbit den, go fishing and foraging, tend to your garden, cook and bake – but at the same time you also have to build relationships with the residents of Bywater in order to build the village together for the great Bywater – to revamp the festival. So all in all one cozy hobbit life simulationfor which the developers were given “the greatest possible creative freedom to interpret the books’ underlying lore,” it says (source: Take 2 Interactive).

When will Tales of the Shire be released?
So far there is no exact release date, but the game is supposed to still 2024 come on the market. It will be released for the PC as well as for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and the Xbox Series. So many platforms are already being considered at the start.
