A particularly complete character creation system

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth fans' biggest nightmare takes on a whole new dimension with this creation made in Dragon's Dogma 2

The process of recreating the Mogs in Dragon's Dogma 2 was as detailed as it is disturbing. Player ADAMTO_BEAUTY used the Dragon's Dogma 2 character editor to bring this abomination to life in a manner remarkably faithful to the model of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. The player was able to choose from a multitude of customization options, ranging from facial features to body features. Dragon's Dogma 2's character creation system offers exceptional freedom, allowing players to modify every detail. Details such as the distinctive pink noseTHE rabbit teeth and the claw-shaped scar have been integrated using the advanced features of the character design system. The player also exploited the possibilities of customization of accessories and clothing to recreate the Mog's unique appearance. He also knew how to add his own personal touch by adjusting certain details to accentuate the grotesque aspect of the Mog… and probably intensify the horror effect that it creates among Final Fantasy fans.

The Mogs, “it was better before”

The Mogs, traditionally represented as cute little creatures, underwent a transformation that put off more than one fan in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Instead of retaining their characteristic appearance, they were redesigned with more human features, like exposed teeth and expressive eyes. Thus, the general aesthetic of the new Mogs has been criticized for its strangeness and the discomfort it creates among players. The creatures look like bizarre hybrids between stuffed animals and real animals, which creates a strange feeling of disconnect. Unexpected anatomical details, such as rabbit teeth on an animal that seems more inspired by a bizarre koalaTHE facial expressions disturbing, and the realistic aspect of Rebirth's Mogs (due to modern graphics), accentuated this rejection, with fans finding them truly disturbing. Furthermore, Mogs are adorable iconic characters from the serieswhich created even more reactions.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is available on PlayStation 5. Dragon's Dogma 2 is officially released on March 22 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series.
