Exploring Fort Hagen in Fallout 4: A Guide to Accessing and Navigating the Area

Before heading to Fort Haven, launch “Homecoming” and the hunt for Kellogg

Before you launch an assault on Fort Hagen in Fallout 4, what we will advise you to do is simply to progress to the “Retrouvaille” quest which will take you there. The latter begins in Kellogg's house after Canigou smells his cigar. You will then have to track him down.

Follow Canigou until he stops at the water's edge and use the ashtray there. This sets him off again and he will stop again at the bottom of the stairs near a train track. There, examine the bloody bandages on your right. After passing under a tunnel, Canigou stops again.

This time it's the bottle on the table that you will have to examine. The next stop will be in front of a synthetic carcass. Talk to him and he will give you the coordinates to follow. As you can guess, these take you to the gates of Fort Hagen.

The first step to not being bothered by them is to destroy the turrets on the roof. Then go down the steps to reach the entrance. Eliminate the synthetics you come across and take the stairs on your left to find a terminal.

If you hack it, a robot will come and help you. Continue killing all the enemies you find on this first floor until you come across an elevator. Use it and you will arrive in a corridor. The left door is blocked with chains, remove them. This allows you to return to the start of the area if you wish.

Then continue down the corridor and you will come across a door in front of you. Open it and continue in the corridors where you can collect two interesting items: a fusion reactor and a statuette increasing the critical damage of energy weapons.

Then go down the stairs and walk down the hallway until you arrive in a room with a bed. Use it to prepare yourself for what awaits you in the Fort Hagen sequel. Then take the door and you will land in a new room with Kellogg.

Fight against Kellogg

After a discussion, the fight begins and if you do not want to find yourself overwhelmed, what we advise you to do first is to get rid of Kellogg's henchmen before focusing on the latter. Once defeated, he leaves you with three things.

His gun, the terminal password, as well as the cybernetic brain optimizer. The password can be used immediately on the Kellogg terminal. There, use the command “open doors”. All you have to do is take the elevator to reach the roof.

You can use the terminal to open doors and deactivate turrets. In addition, you will be outside, which will allow you to teleport. Go to Diamond City and more precisely to Piper's house to end the quest.
