Exciting Surprises Await Fans – A Pleasant Aroma in the Air

Assassin's Creed seems to be far from having pulled out all the blades up its sleeve. Ubisoft intends to go all out on its flagship franchise, to the delight of fans.

After a lackluster Valhalla and a very large open world formula which was starting to become boring, Assassin's Creed Mirage offered a welcome return to basics for Ubisoft's cult license. The French giant clearly does not intend to rest on its laurels. Many games, visibly very different from each other, are in the pipeline. There would even be talk of a new engine to oversee this growing brotherhood.

The Assassin's Creed family will grow a lot in the future

Willy-nilly, Ubisoft wants to go all out on its strong licenses in the future. Among these, Assassin's Creed has occupied a prominent place since the shadows. Thus, the French giant plans to release a myriad of new games in this promising license by the end of the decade. In the immediate future, we are obviously thinking of Red, who should make a very notable appearance at Ubisoft Forward scheduled for June 10. In addition to a proper trailer, the title taking place in Japan should also take the opportunity to display gameplay.

Assassin's Creed Infinity is also one of Ubisoft's most advanced projects surrounding the series. As a reminder, this is a central hub for the entire franchise, which would focus on its “present” counterpart. Infinity would therefore aim to unify all the games in the license under a single banner. As such, Ubisoft is reportedly working on a new engine specific to Assassin's Creed, called “Anvil Pipeline”. It would aim to provide significant visual improvements for future titles in the franchise, including ray tracing lighting effects and virtual geometry. Who says unified engine also means on paper better optimization of the creation process and the in-game experience.

This will therefore allow Ubisoft to offer fans many Assassin's Creed games in the future. We can notably cite the very intriguing Hexe, expected in 2026. Then, there would be a question of a Remake of Black Flag called Obsidian and another Remake. Regarding the new games, three are already known. First we have Nebula, who would suggest visiting India, the Aztec Empire and the Mediterranean. Finally, we have two multiplayer games, still quite… nebulous: Raid (free-to-play four-player cooperative game, and Echoes.
