However, you shouldn't expect a new title this time. Instead, Capcom announced ongoing work on a remaster of “Monster Hunter Stories.” In Monster Hunter Stories we are dealing with a spin-off that was originally released in 2016 for the Nintendo 3DS.

One of the gaming special features of the title was the fact that the developers relied on a turn-based RPG. In “Monster Hunter Stories” we take on the role of Rider and take on the fight against a dark threat that is spreading terror across the world.

We make friends with all sorts of well-known monsters from the world of “Monster Hunter” and use their abilities.

The remaster offers these improvements

As part of the official announcement, Capcom announced that the remaster of “Monster Hunter Stories” would receive various technical improvements compared to the original. On the one hand, the developers revised the graphical representation to ensure that the various monsters also cut a good figure on the big screens.

In addition, the world of the role-playing game should return “in an impressive level of detail, with improved models, textures and lighting effects”. There are also dialogues that are completely set to music. Here you can choose between the original Japanese voices or an English-language dubbing.

The museum mode is also new. In the museum you can listen to the numerous pieces from the soundtrack or examine artwork that comes from the development of “Monster Hunter Stories”.

According to the official announcement, the remaster of “Monster Hunter Stories” will be released later this summer for the PC, PS4 and Nintendo Switch. Thanks to backwards compatibility support, you can of course also play the RPG on the PS5.

Capcom also stated that there is various additional content on board that the company only offered in Japan at the time. However, the publisher did not become more specific here.
