A new spin-off is planned for the Game of Thrones saga.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the producers of the Game of Thrones franchise already has another spin-off in development. It would be dedicated to a period that is often talked about in the works of the saga, the Conquest of Aegon.

Aegon’s Conquest, by the screenwriter of The Batman
After the resounding success of House of the Dragon, HBO dives even deeper into the Game of Thrones universe with a new spin-off, called Aegon’s Conquest. This series promises to bring us back at the very origins of the Kingdom of the Seven Kingdoms, exploring the bloody and brutal conquest of Aegon Targaryen and his dragons. One of the most exciting elements of this project is the participation of Mattson Tomlin, uncredited screenwriter of The Batman and currently working on The Batman Part II. Tomlin, known for his expertise in creating complex and captivating stories, is seen by many fans of the GoT universe as the perfect choice to bring Aegon’s epic story to life.
The creation of the Kingdom of the Seven Kingdoms
House of the Dragon had already paved the way for a deeper exploration of Westeros history and Aegon’s Conquest seems to promise a now back to basics of the saga. By immersing ourselves in the political intrigues, epic battles and tumultuous alliances from the pre-Seven Kingdoms era. Indeed, before Aegon, Westeros was not not a united continent under the same crown, but several independent states regularly in conflict. By strength, blood and fire, Aegon Targaryen will subdue six of these seven kingdoms and form what would later be the Kingdom of the Seven Kingdoms, subject of the desires which will give rise to the famous Game of Thrones.
A bunch of spin-off series in the works
One of the most exciting aspects of Aegon’s Conquest is its slew of iconic characters regularly mentioned in Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon. We expect a cast worthy of these remarkable characters. The ability of the actors and actresses chosen to bring complex characters to life will be crucial to making this series a success comparable to the first spin-off of the saga. Besides, note that Aegon’s Conquest is not coming right away. Before this series, other spin-offs are expected. First the season 2 of House of the Dragon this summer. HBO has also already ordered the following series, A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight, for a date still unknown. Subsequently, other spin-offs are planned but have not yet been officially ordered by HBO: one Jon Snow series, a animated series about Corlys Valerion called Nine Voyages, a spin-off dedicated to Princess Nymeria titled 10,000 Ships, and finally a animated series called The Golden Empire, which will focus on the Yi-Ti region east of Qarth. Aegon’s Conquest seems to be planned for after these projects, so not tomorrow!
The next season of House of the Dragon arrives this summer.
