Exciting New Features Requested by Fans Are Finally Here!

Bethesda has just announced a new major update for Starfield this month as well as highly anticipated new features requested by the community.

Since the launch of the Prime Video series in April, all eyes have been on Fallout, both current and future games. Bethesda is working behind the scenes to find solutions to release the next game before you retire, while also focusing its efforts on The Elder Scrolls 6. The publisher is not forgetting its most recent game : Starfield. While waiting for the paid extension planned for this fall, Bethesda will go all out this month with a substantial update, bringing particularly requested changes and new features.

A real performance mode for Starfield

Starfield will receive a massive patch on May 15. Listening to the community, Bethesda will finally deploy certain features requested since the launch of the game last September. We might as well start with the figures which will give thrills to technically savvy players. New graphics options will thus be available for the Xbox Series priority on visuals and lighting. Players will have the choice between 30, 40 or 60 fps, or opt for an uncapped frame rate if they have a VRR screen. Bethesda also recommends a monitor that can go up to 120Hz.

New features and confirmed land vehicles

That was for the technical part, but the May update of Starfield will bring a whole bunch of new features requested. The maps will visibly improve in readability and will be improved to display more information and prevent you from getting too lost. Tabs will also be added to containers to make inventory management easier, it's about time. THE biggest novelty, however, will not be available with the next Starfield patch. You asked for it, Bethesda is going to do it: a first land vehicle is in preparation. However, we don't know if it will arrive with the Shattered DLC or before, but it should clearly allow you to move faster during your expeditions.

Even more customization in Starfield

Also, to respond to criticism from certain members of the community, the RPG will also add new options to personalize the experience and especially its difficulty. Up with Extreme mode or down, you can adjust each aspect as you see fit. Concrete example given: the possibility of making ground combat more difficult unlike combat in space. Several points can then be adapted to your playing style to make your games easier or not thanks to bonuses and penalties. This ranges from experience points, damage, economy and including the weight of items or healing.

In terms of customization, players will be served. As with outposts, the decoration menu will be available for ships. It will also offer empty modules to fill out yourself according to your tastes and desires. For those in New Game+, the appearance and traits of your character can be modified as desired before starting a new adventure. Bethesda is taking advantage of the presentation of this major Starfield update to reconfirm that the modding tools are in the hands of a lucky few and that they will soon be available via a subsequent update.
