Ex-007 has completely transformed

You probably know what it's like: you look at the clock and oops, 30 years have passed again. A former Bond actor who was now seen on the set of his new film could feel something similar. And so you no longer remember His Majesty's dashing double-zero agent.

In recent months there has been speculation about who will be the next actor to play James Bond. Traditionally, the main actor changes every few films, also so that James Bond always remains a middle-aged man. A fact that now becomes very clear again.

An aged Bond

From 1995, Pierce Brosnan played the British secret agent. In James Bond: Golden Eye the Irishman was 42 years old – basically the typical age for a James Bond. Well, that was almost 30 long years ago, which of course leaves its mark on a British knight.

The images come from a film set. For his new film Giant, Brosnan takes on the role of aging boxing trainer Brendan Ingle, who helped boxer Prince Naseem Hamed achieve world fame. The film addresses this partnership and the many challenges that the endeavor brought with it.

Now you probably want to see the pictures first: You can see Brosnan, now 71, among others here look at. He wears glasses, a comfortable jogging suit and his hair is gray and thin, which gives him a very mature appearance. He hardly reminds us of the womanizer he portrayed as James Bond.

The make-up artists had to help despite his old age: the natural Pierce Brosnan still has a full head of hair, but a thinning hairstyle was needed for his role.

Hardly anyone is more committed to being an active actor in old age than Clint Eastwood, who is still active as an actor, director and producer at the age of 94. Eastwood was already famous in the 1960s for his atmospheric Western films. You can find out more in the linked article.
