While the communications teams of Fortnite spoke at the end of the morning indicating a postponement of the launch of the season by an additional 8 hours, it was only at the beginning of the evening that this launch was pushed back by an additional 5 hours, thus causing excitement among the players but also their discontent. A failed launch therefore, for a season which nevertheless promises to be ambitious. We summarize everything you need to know about this new mythological season.
Challenge the Olympian Legends
Only a few days after the appearance of a gigantic hand holding a chained box directly on the game map, players around the world took only a few hours before breaking all the chains holding this mysterious box, leaving it collapse to the ground. Unfortunately, it was Pandora's Box, an ancient mythological object said to contain all the evils of the entire world within it and capable of unleashing chaos upon the world as soon as anyone dared to open it.

After this act considered a real affront on the part of the most famous deities of Greek mythology, it is high time to face Zeus, Hades and company on an island completely redesigned for the occasion, for this season supposed to last until May 24 at 8 a.m. French time.
As we can see in the trailer released during the first moments of downtime on the morning of March 8, strange creatures seem to be swimming at the bottom of the green waters of Hell. New moves specific to new characters will be present such as the ability to dive towards enemies in flight thanks to the wings of Icarus worn in the trailer by Aphrodite.
Be careful because these wings may burn if you receive too much damage or if you fly too long with the consequences of a potentially fatal fall. In this trailer, we can also discover the beautiful Artemisthe terrible lightning of Zeus, whileHades will benefit from cursed and devastating chains which will be available later in the season.
Mount Olympus facing the Underworld

Among the new locations available for this season Myths and Mortalswe can therefore see the arrival of the extremely famous Mount Olympushome of the god of gods Zeusbut also Hadeswhere a certain Hades. Sumptuous landscapes promising beautiful vertical sections.
You can also challenge Ares in the Brawler's Battlegroundor even come face to face with the three-headed guard dog Cerberus has Grim Gate. Other gods and mythological creatures will also be there like Medusa, Aphrodite And Artemis available in the battle pass. The Avatar Korra will conclude this special battle pass by becoming the secret skin unlocked later in the season.
A divine battle pass?
The battle pass for this new season of Fortnite is in fact made up of 8 new outfits exclusive to this season and having a whole particularity, weapon or movement. Among the skins of this new battle pass, still sold for 950 V-Bucks, you can find (from left to right):
- Poseidonthe king of oceans, beaches and… Bleuvage.
- Artemis and his predatory sniper rifle very effective from afar. Obtain the Mythic variant by defeating Zeus.
- Zeus and his lightning Legendary with three charges with a cooldown.
- Aphroditethe goddess of hearts and her wings of Icarus.
- Hades and his premonitory submachine gun which shoots very precisely, at least at the beginning…
- Cerberus and his shotgun guard in the mythical variant, which fires three projectiles quickly. This skin is unlocked with the purchase of the battle pass.
- Jellyfish
- Korra
Each of these new skins therefore has specific weapons, variants to unlock or even various cosmetic content. LEGO variants will also be available to discover, to complete the new features of LEGO Fortnitejust like accessories for Fortnite Festival.
Note that Ares acts as a major absentee here. Well, not completely, since the God of War will be the exclusive skin for the Fortnite Club of the Month for April (for those who don't know, this is a monthly subscription allowing you to obtain V-Bucks and exclusive rewards for €11.99 per month). Ares is located in the heart of Brawler's Battleground, south of Mount Olympus. If you defeat Ares, you will be able to leave with the mythical variant of warrior assault rifle.
New features in Pegasus mess
Among the changes made to the gameplay in this season highlighting the gods of Olympus, you will be able to find a thermal scope manufactured by Hephaestus for any weapon with a scope, but also a accelerating front handle allowing for faster movements while you aim. These modifications will be found in the modification tables but also in the new weapons bunkersunlocked mid-game and containing priceless treasures.
Note that a brand new style of the legendary Midas should make its appearance throughout the season, as will Medals who will reward all your deeds and gestures. A protective bubble Domed will also be available and resistant to much of the potential damage.
Weapons from the previous season are also making a comeback such as the specialized Striker shotgun, the Fury automatic shotgun, the Rival assault rifle, the Thunder burst submachine gun, the Reaper sniper rifle and the Predator pistol. A way Floor is Lava is also back with a map that gradually fills with lava.
New cosmetics
