But even before the new monster carnage celebrates its release in the summer, players can already get their first impression of the next Diablo make. Because in March Blizzard will hold a beta test for Diablo 4. Diablo 4 Beta – This is how the pre-test is structured
This is how the Diablo 4 Beta works: As already mentioned, Blizzard will hold a beta test before the release of Diablo 4. The beta is basically divided into two phases:
- an early access period for everyone with early access
- and an open beta
The Diablo 4 beta is divided into two weekends in March, so it will not be available continuously. It is not yet known whether there may be another test before the release of Diablo 4. Progress from the Early Access weekend carries over to the Open Beta, but not from Beta to Full Release.

Diablo 4 Beta Download/Preload: More information on exactly how and when to download the Diablo 4 Beta will be released by Blizzard as the Beta gets a little closer. (we will add the information here)
Important: Blizzard emphasizes that this is not yet the polished, final version of Diablo 4, but a test. So you can definitely encounter performance problems as well as crashes, bugs and inconsistencies. After the end of the beta, the developers will use the feedback from the players to make the necessary changes before the release.

Diablo 4 Open Beta Start – When does it start, how to join?
When does the Diablo 4 Open Beta start? The Diablo 4 Open Beta will be held from March 24th to 26th, so it will span a full weekend.
How to join the Diablo 4 Open Beta? Anyone who has the appropriate hardware (PC or console) can take part in the Diablo 4 Beta.
Diablo 4 Early Access – When does it start, how to participate?
There is also an option to get early access to the Diablo 4 Beta. So you can spend a little more time with the game and get a slightly more comprehensive first impression of Diablo 4. Because pre-orderers can also take part in the open beta afterwards, so they have two full weekends at their disposal.
When does Diablo 4 Early Access for the beta start? Diablo 4 Early Access for the Beta runs from March 17th to March 19th, a weekend before the Open Beta.
How to get early access for the Diablo 4 Beta? You can get early access to the Diablo 4 beta if you pre-order Diablo 4 in advance of the test or get an early access code (e.g. via giveaways, promotions and probably also physical pre-orders).
If you pre-order digitally, you don’t have to do anything else. The beta, including early access, will then automatically be available on the respective platform. If you somehow get a key, you still have to redeem it.
Diablo 4 Beta Key for Early Access – How to Redeem Early Access Code: If you want to redeem the key for the platform of your choice, just follow the steps below (a Battle.net account is mandatory!):
- goes up diablo.com/beta and log in there (or create a Battle.net account there first)
- Now enter your code, then select your platform and region and click “Redeem”
- You should now receive confirmation that the code was valid and redeemed on your account
- PC accounts will then be immediately eligible for early access
- Before the start of the Early Access phase, console players will receive a platform-specific code to download the beta in the respective online store (PlayStation Store or MS Store) by email – to the address of their Battle.net account

Diablo 4 Open Beta & Early Access – The contents of the test
This content awaits you in the Diablo 4 Beta: The beta gives you a taste of the Diablo 4 campaign, so you can basically play all of the Act 1 content and explore the first zone, Shattered Peaks, at your leisure. You can level up your characters up to a maximum of level 25, but you can still continue to gamble even after the cap has been reached. You just don’t level up anymore.
