The French company Evernex, world leader in third-party IT infrastructure maintenance, is continuing to deploy its industrial strategy and will inaugurate a new site on February 29 in Massy (Essonne), allowing it to both improve its logistics capabilities and, above all, to create the first “Multi-brand IT Expert Laboratory” in Europe. The establishment in which the company has invested 1.2 million euros will employ around fifty employees on site as well as teleworking colleagues.
“We are a multi-brand company (Evernex supports 17,000 families of equipment, editor's note) and within this laboratory we will create a knowledge base on which we can train our engineers and technicians. The more we develop our expertise, the better we are able to meet needs.”, explains Manivong Khammao, director of operations. It is from this installation, including one hundred connected racks, that the certification will be implemented which will concern all Evernex technicians in the world.

One of the objectives of the laboratory is also, according to Manivong Khammao “to create the offer of tomorrow” by studying the operation of current equipment that Evernex may be required to maintain in the future.
Pioneer of sustainable computing
Created in 1983, Evernex wants to continue its meteoric rise which has seen its turnover more than double between 2016 and 2022 to reach 201 million euros that year. The company, which employs 1,000 people, maintains 700,000 operating or storage servers for nearly 11,000 customers spread across 165 countries.
“We offer a range of services for IT infrastructures. It has multiple facets, the main of which is to offer equipment maintenance. We promise to send a technician within four or eight hours, depending on the desired service, to repair the equipment. For this we have an operations department with technicians going on site, a network of experts to carry out remote diagnosis and support functions to find the part.details Manivong Khammao.
Extend the life cycle of equipment by at least 5 years
The company is a pioneer in sustainable IT. Its activity makes it possible to extend the life cycle of equipment by at least five years after the end of the manufacturer's warranty, but it is distinguished above all by the almost exclusive use of reconditioned parts. To repair in record times, the group has a stock of 850,000 computer parts distributed in some 300 storage points around the world. The main one is located in France in Mitry-Compans (Seine-et-Marne) where Evernex inaugurated last year the largest site in Europe for reconditioning and shipping guaranteed recycled parts. With an area of 6,000 square meters, it employs 190 people.
The Massy establishment completes the logistics system. With almost 3000 square meters, two thirds of which is storage space, it is responsible for repatriating unused parts in order to test them again before putting it back into the reconditioned equipment circuit.
