Eugen's Skills

Active skills

Here are all the active skills for Eugen to unlock:

• Interception (Earth): Dodge backwards then shoot forward. Grants Stoicism and increases Eugen's firepower when dodging with perfect timing.
• Armor-piercing ammunition (Earth): Fires a volley of shells over a wide area. Hold to aim. Each shell creates a small explosion radius.
• Venom Grenade (Darkness): Fires a grenade that inflicts Poisoning and a Defense penalty on opponents.
• Detonator (Earth): Fires a chargeable shot. Hold to charge and aim.
• Healing Ball (No item): Fires a bullet that restores the HP of allies within its impact radius. Hold to aim. Activate without holding to shoot near Eugen.
• Sumrak (Earth): Switch to Rifleman mode and fire a beam that deals continuous damage at the cost of significant knockback. Hold to aim and hold the beam.
• Disruption (Water): Fires 4 homing bullets which dissipate 1 enemy bonus on impact. Hold to aim.
• Stun Bullet (Light): Switch to Rifle Mode and fire a bullet that inflicts Paralysis. Hold to aim.

Support Skills

Here are Eugen's support skills:

• Aiming : In Rifleman mode, Eugen cannot move but he can aim manually and his shots inflict more damage.
• Shooter's Fists: Eugen switches to melee combat against nearby opponents.

Eugen's weapons

Here is the list of weapons to unlock for Eugen:

• Snout of Leviathan (Critical Rate): Reach the town of Seminaria (chapter 6) + spend Emblem of Glory (x 1), Mysterious Wing (x 3) and 5000 Rupis at a blacksmith.
• Matchlock Rifle (Stun): In chapter 8, when you enter the castle of Séminaria, advance until you arrive in the part of a corridor where there is furniture and above all a save point. Then open the gold chest placed in front of it to obtain this weapon.
• Bugle (Weak Spot Damage): Reach the rank of Veteran Navigator (endgame – chapter 0) + spend Emblem of Glory (x 1), Orb of Wind (x 1), Griffin Feather (x 3), Griffin Talon (x 1) and 10,000 Rupis at a blacksmith.
• AK-4A (Attack): Unlock Very Hard difficulty rank (endgame – chapter 0) + spend Emblem of Glory (x 1), Earth Fragment (x 10), Earth Orb (x 2), Golem Finger (x 3), Jaw of golem (x 1) and 10,000 Rupis from a blacksmith.
• Dragonfire (Catastrophe): Complete the mission “The Fury of Bahamut”. (WARNING!!! Completing this quest with this character does not guarantee acquiring it 100%, the rewards awarded by it being random. What's more, its obtaining rate is very low. Depending on your luck (or your bad luck!), you will probably have to defeat Proto-Bahamut several times. Good luck!)

How to play Eugen?

Despite his ability to defend himself more than Rackam in close combat, Eugen remains above all a character designed for ranged combat. Switching to Rifleman mode is often tempting to inflict more damage on our opponents, but be careful not to forget that this prevents him from moving and forces us to aim at our targets manually. To avoid being too dependent on this posture, don't hesitate to also rely on his grenade throws and his skills.

List of Eugen's basic commands and combos

• Attack : Square
• Rifleman Mode: maintain (Square)
• Melee Combo: Square – Square – Square (melee only)
• Grenada: Triangle (the character moves backwards while throwing a grenade forward)
• Grenade (aerial): Triangle (the character throws a grenade downward, in the air only)
• Pomegranate +: hold Triangle (the character sends a powerful grenade to the targeted location)
• Grenade + (Rifle Mode): Triangle (the character sends a powerful grenade at long range)
• Aerial combo: Square – Square – Square (in the air only)

What types of seals should be equipped in Eugen?

• Concentrated shotwhich increases the power of his ranged attacks
• Critical ratein order to boost its Critical Rate stats
• Attack Powerto increase your overall offensive stats
• Absorptionto restore his HP based on the damage he inflicts on the opponent
• Stealthwhich reduces the likelihood of it being targeted by an adversary.

The objective here is only to offer you a selection of seals that we recommend you equip as a priority for this character according to our way of playing with it.
