This week the developers at EA Vancouver provided the successful football simulation “EA Sports FC 24” with another update. This updates the game to version 1.16.

The official changelog shows that EA Vancouver primarily focused on the two modes “Career” and “Ultimate Team” in the newly released update and fixed various problems here. Among other things, the developers fixed the bug that caused false notifications about a new level in “Ultimate Team”.

In “Career,” however, there was a bug that prevented you from choosing your shooter or shooters in the penalty shootout. The new patch also corrects minor inadequacies in the user interface.

Attached is the changelog translated into German, which provides you with all the further details.

Update 1.16 fixes the following errors

Ultimate Team:

  • An incorrect notification of a new level could appear without actually leveling up.
  • Fixed: Issues with position search for concept players not working as intended.

Career mode:

  • When changing the difficulty to Legendary, the CPU acceleration slider in the game settings could have been incorrectly reduced.
  • Penalty takers could not be selected during a penalty shootout.
  • In manager career mode, after a contract was terminated, the next job offer could incorrectly be from the same club.

General, audio and visual:

  • Update to 4-star heads becoming visible in the game after a server update.
  • Updated instances with incorrect text, UI, and billboards.
  • Fixed: Stability issues that could occur.

“EA Sports FC 24” was released for consoles and PC in September 2023. For the responsible publisher Electronic Arts, the title marks the beginning of a new era. After a partnership spanning more than 30 years, EA decided to forego the FIFA license in the future, primarily for cost reasons.

Instead, the company is now relying on the new “EA Sports FC” series and direct partnerships with the associations. The whole thing did not affect the commercial success.

Quite the opposite: Since its release last summer, “EA Sports FC 24” has been a regular in the weekly and monthly software charts, especially in Europe.
