In addition to impressions of career was waiting Gameplay, which showed legendary tracks like Monaco and Silverstone. A few weeks before the release of “EA Sports F1 24”, Codemasters went into another deep dive about the improvements we can look forward to this year.

Since Codemasters has the official Formula 1 license, all 24 tracks of the current season are of course on board. The developers made improvements to the routes in various areas in order to recreate them as accurately as possible.

Silverstone, Spa and other routes have been optimized

Regarding the British Grand Prix, for example, Codemasters said: “Silverstone has received a comprehensive update that ensures authentic precision on and off the track. Here you can feel every bump, every curb and every difference in height (11.3 m). Just as the designers of the route intended.”

When implementing the Spa route, however, the iconic “Eau Rouge” took center stage. These have been re-profiled and now have a new run-off zone. Codemasters also lent a hand at turn 11 and the bus stop chicane. It should also be noted that the developers provided the exit from “Bruxelles” with a new gravel bed. Every mistake in the race can be your last.

“And we’re not done yet. At the Losail International Circuit in Qatar and the Jeddah Corniche Circuit in Saudi Arabia, the paddock buildings, curbs and track graphics have been reworked so that they are closer to their real-world counterparts,” Codemasters continued.

Codemasters promises an authentic experience

The tracks are not the only area of “EA Sports F1 24” where Codemasters improved. New cutscenes, revised driver models and sound recordings from real broadcasts ensure an authentic Formula 1 atmosphere in the career. As in previous years, the cars of all ten teams were meticulously recreated using detailed CAD data.

Using the EGO Engine's Ray-Traced Dynamic Diffuse Global Illumination technology, developers have improved lighting, shadows and reflections during races and cutscenes. The “My Team Icon” mode, on the other hand, has been provided with new and well-known drivers in whose role you can slip into. Including Pastor Maldonado and Jamie Chadwick.

Exclusively in the “F1 24 Champions Edition” the 1976 champion James Hunt and the 7-time race winner Juan Pablo Montoya are waiting for you.

“Fanzone”, in turn, is based on the “F1 World Mode” of its predecessor. Together with other players you can tackle common goals in the “fan zone”. Here you first decide on your favorite team or your favorite pilot.

“Fanzone members compete against each other and receive Fan Points earned across the different modes of F1 World. Regardless of how you earn the points, they contribute to a larger goal: reputation in the community,” adds Codemasters and speaks of completely new challenges that “Fanzone” confronts you with.

“EA Sports F1 24” will be released on May 31, 2024. The PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S will be powered.
