The Dracs, more commonly called Dragons, represent the sworn enemy of the Insurgent. Connected to him thanks to the hearts they carry, dragons are formidable adversaries who will not give you any respite.
The Dracs drop a very important resource for your adventure in Dragon's Dogma II: dragon shards. This resource, which is found exclusively on Dracs, allows you to buy interesting resources from the Dragonspawn such as a portable Crystal Port or even Transstones, but that's not all. Indeed, dragon shards are more useful for improving your weapons and armor pieces.

Where to find Dracs in Dragon's Dogma 2?
You can encounter dragons all over the world. There are as many in Vermund as in Battahl. Also note that it is possible to have chance encounters with dragons in the town of Vernworth. These events are one-off and take place exclusively at the oxcart station leading to Melve.
What about the Knight-Mage's festering Drac?
The Festering Dragon can be found southwest of the Battahl region, at the very top of the Tower of Dragon's Breath. To fight a Drac, we recommend that you place yourself under its belly, for two reasons: on the one hand to protect yourself from its flames, but also to be already positioned when its heart appears. The Dracs have two weak points: the head, and the heart which opens from time to time. So, prefer fighting at his stomach level, although a short session of climbing from his paws to his head is possible, especially if you are a Thief.
