In this JV Fast, we decided to take an interest in one of the games of the moment: Last Epoch. The title, developed by Eleventh Hour Games, recently came out of four years of Early Access on Steam. It regularly has more than 100,000 players on its servers, and if it is so successful, it is because it seems to be a perfect compromise between two hack'n slash behemoths, Diablo and Path of Exile.

Here, you cross the world of Eterra governed by several deities and in which each era is heading towards its ruin. Your goal is to use time crystals to travel through time to save humanity. Hack'n slash requires you to face hordes of enemies, which will allow you to acquire loot, experience and level up. Subsequently, you will have access to points that you can distribute in the passive tree, with which you can unlock new very useful spells and abilities. The skills each have their own tree, which themselves differ from the class you choose (Wizard, Thief, Primalist, Sentinel, Acolyte).

A total success

Last Epoch now has thousands of reviews on Steam, a success that it owes in part to its resemblance to Diablo and Path of Exile, but also to its particularities which set it apart from the competition. Already, by its concept: the game offers you to cross different eras during the campaign, which allows you to greatly vary the settings. Eras characterized by the modern era, the ancient era and the futuristic era, etc. There is also its accessibility, whether you are a hack'n slash fanatic or a beginner, you will find your way there. The title adds a more than interesting dimension with its forging system, with which you can improve your armor or weapons as you wish. You obviously have the possibility of doing the adventure alone or with your friends. If you want a full overview of the game, or just want to know more about Last Epoch, don't hesitate to watch our JVFast.
