DICE asked paid content creators for feedback but completely ignored it

As is well known, the multiplayer shooter “Battlefield 2042” was unable to meet the expectations placed on it either in terms of gameplay or commercially. According to pro gamer and streamer Michael “Shroud” Grzesiek, this development is due, among other things, to the fact that feedback from content creators was completely ignored.

Shortly after the release of “Battlefield 2042” in October 2021, it became apparent that the multiplayer shooter was struggling with various problems, both technically and gameplay-wise.

Even though the developers at DICE followed up with various updates and new content after the release, the fate of “Battlefield 2042” could only be changed for the better to a limited extent. According to pro gamer and Twitch streamer Michael “Shroud” Grzesiek, we are dealing with a disappointment in “Battlefield 2024” that came with an announcement.

As Grzesiek revealed in a recent livestream, DICE is said to have decided to pay pro gamers and content creators for their feedback when developing the multiplayer shooter. However, the whole thing did not lead to any improvements in terms of gameplay.

Pro-Gamer expresses his incomprehension

Quite the opposite: According to Grzesiek, the collected feedback was basically completely ignored. “You may have asked and paid 60 to 100 content creators for help. They have consulted with many of us. It started at about 60 or something, and then it got reduced to 40, then to 20, and then to 10 or whatever it was.”

“They did that a few times,” Grzesiek added. “But they didn’t listen to a damn thing we said. Not a thing. Not a single thing we said – not a single thing. I mean, I got paid. But I couldn’t believe it.”

“We know what we're talking about. After all, we play games full-time. We won't stop there… We play and play and play,” it concludes. Unfortunately, Grzesiek did not reveal which direction the feedback from the content creators was moving.

Seventh season started a few days ago

“Battlefield 2042” is currently in the seventh season. This is called “Turning Point” and started a few days ago. The new content that found its way into the shooter as part of the current season includes two new maps.

The “Harbour” map focuses on gripping urban battles. Added to this is the “stadium” that has been shaken by fighting. The players were also able to look forward to three new weapons. The SCZ-3-MP, the AK 5C and the DFR Strife.

Battlefield 2042 is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. Several new projects based on the “Battlefield” brand are currently in development. Including a new multiplayer experience created by the series creators at DICE.

Additionally, Criterion Games is completing a single-player narrative experience that was in development at Ridgeline Games until the studio closed.
