It seems as if the preparations for the fourth season of Diablo IV have now been completed, after the update has been on the public test realm for some time and has been viewed critically by players. What is certain is that Season 4: Loot Reborn is now scheduled to start on May 14th at 7 p.m. Before that, there will be a developer stream this evening in which the new features of the season will be discussed further.

Season 4 is eagerly awaited and could be an important milestone for Diablo IV, which currently fluctuates through the seasons with many ups and downs. Season 4: Loot Reborn is particularly interesting because the associated update completely overhauls the entire loot and crafting system.

The focus is on making the item system clearer. The description states: “We have reduced the number of affixes on items (to 3 on legendary items and 2 on rare items) and made these affixes more effective. Instead of affixes that are based on conditional values, you will now see affixes that Increase your movement speed, maximum health, or individual ranks of a basic skill. Dropped items are now easier to evaluate, and we've moved their complexity and customization into our new Tempering and Masterworking crafting systems.”

The loot drop situation will also be adjusted and should now focus more on quality rather than quantity. Resources and costs for crafting have also been adjusted accordingly, as has the general quality of the loot depending on world tier and item categories. The new crafts Tempering and Masterworking, on the other hand, are intended to offer you more opportunities to design new items according to your needs.

Further revisions concern the hellfloods and their conditions. There is also new seasonal content and of course a new Battle Pass with 28 free and 62 paid ranks and new rewards. Further information about Season 4: Loot Reborn can be found on the official website.
