Even if players are mainly waiting for news about the expansion Vessel of Hatred, Blizzard Entertainment keep playing Diablo IV with seasons that bring their share of changes and novelties. This week, the studio presented in detail the Season 4: Revitalized Lootnotably through a long video with the developers:

- Object updates : In order to improve the current item system, the way players use items has changed significantly. Base affixes have been reduced and will now be simpler. The goal is to make it easier to identify items so that players can determine if they are useful. Items can then be improved and personalized to adapt them to a specific character.
- Tempering : a new system that allows players to personalize found items. To access tempering, go to the forge and select a tempering recipe. A random affix from this recipe will then be applied to your item. Players will be able to find recipes all over Sanctuary.
- Power Codex : A major change has been made to the Codex, based on community feedback. From now on, all legendaries will be indexed in the Power Codex to allow players to always engrave the best legendary version on their items. Players will no longer need to keep aspect crystals in their inventory.
- Higher affixes : A new type of rare affix will be available in the form of a greater affix, in ancestral items obtained in world level 4. The values of these greater affixes are higher than those of similar classic affixes.
- Improvement : Once players have an item with all the affixes they want, they can upgrade them so that they benefit from better values. Once players consider that their character is established and the best items have been gathered, they can go to the Pit.
- The pit : Players who have optimized their character can participate in this new high-level game and unlock rare crafting materials to improve their equipment.
- Infernal waves : this season, the infernal waves intensify with new activities. Players will now face a greater number of demons summoned by cultists and heralds of the apocalypse created from a few unlucky people swept away by the wave. Those who manage to survive long enough in the new infernal waves will face the champions of the Underworld, ancient heroes and heroines of Sanctuary who have joined the demons of the Underworld. Defeat these champions of the Underworld to obtain materials that will allow you to perform cursed rituals.
- Cursed rituals : These failed cultist rituals can be activated by players to attract the attention of demons and monsters for a terrible battle. Survive the onslaught of demons and you will then face the Bloodmaiden, an all-new hellwave mini-boss representing the ultimate challenge of this new experience.
- Iron Wolves : the Iron Wolves have decided to confront the Underworld and want to defeat the Blood Maiden. Fight alongside them and participate in seasonal Call of Wolves activities to earn honor. This honor will allow you to unlock access to rewards that will strengthen your seasonal journey.
