The Necromancer in Diablo 4 can summon an entire army of undead companions, such as skeleton warriors and skeleton mages. His arsenal also includes a golem, although this is not available from the start. We'll tell you how you can unlock and use the companion.
In Diablo 4, as a necromancer you have to fulfill two conditions to unlock the golem. First you have to reach level 25. This will automatically activate the priority quest “Necromancer: Call of the Underworld” free. As soon as you have completed this, the golem will be available to you. Solve “Call of the Underworld”.
After you reach level 25, the quest will automatically be added to your journal. You can find them in the tab Priority Quests. Follow the quests to mark your destination on the map.
You must pray at the Shrine of Rathma, which you can find northwest of Menestad Village. If you don't already have this waypoint, you can alternatively travel northwest from Kyovashad.
When you arrive at the shrine, have a short conversation with Maltorius. You then have to defeat enemies in the blue area until you… 12 Unbroken bones have collected. In the next step you will use these bones to form your golem.
Travel further to the cave with the hideous artifact. This will automatically be marked on your map once you have found the 12 Unbroken Bones. The cave is located southwest of Menestad and northwest of Kyovashad.

Enter the Bitter Cave and open the Soul Vessel. An event will then start in which you will defeat monsters until the soul vessel is completely filled. Then speak to Maltorius one last time to complete the quest. As a reward you will receive the golem and a rare amulet.
Summon and command the golem
Even though you have unlocked the golem, it will not automatically fight at your side. You must first add the golem to your skill bar to summon it. To do this, press the S button on the PC or L3/LS on the controller. This opens an overview of all your skills. The newly learned Golem summon is on the bottom line. Simply assign this to a slot on your skill bar and the golem will be summoned.
If you activate the golem skill manually, it taunts the targeted enemies in the area, so it can tank excellently for you. Also remember to specialize your golem in the Book of the Dead. If your golem dies, you cannot easily summon it again. Instead, it automatically stands up again after waiting 20 seconds.
