An update to version 0.16 (0.1601.561.0) is available for the Dev Home app. The update was already distributed via the Store app yesterday. However, the release notes only appeared on Github today. Quality improvements have been made and new functions have been integrated.
For voice output, the progress bar and loading screen messages should now be displayed correctly when installing applications. The other changes are:
- You can now add external tools to Project Ironsides from the list of installed applications along with .bat, .cmd, .ps1 and .msc files.
- General settings for system and virtualization features are now available in Windows Personalization.
- The path for the “WDev Drive Insights” folder is now filled in automatically
- WSL is now available as an environment type in environments
- Disabling an extension now hides its widgets from the dashboard.
- Adding a user to the Hyper-V Administrators group should no longer result in a localization error
