United for better and for worse

Several days ago, Marvel revealed to fans around the world the trailer for its new film Deadpool and Wolverine. We were able to see these two characters together, although everything separates them. It also marked the return of Logan to your screen, while Hugh Jackman (his interpreter) seemed to be done with this character. During these few minutes, it is impossible to say whether these two antiheroes hate or adore each other, but in any case their relationship is explosive. Only to find out what this shock duo between Deadpool and Wolverine will bring, we will still have to wait until July 24. Yet beyond impatience, several questions arise for spectators: do you have to have seen other Marvel films and know Wolverine to have a good time?

Another complicated MCU?

Fortunately, director Shawn Levy reassures everyone “I'm definitely not trying to do my homework when I go to the movies,” the filmmaker told the Associated Press (via The Hollywood Reporter). For him, the objective is above all to please the fans by offering a good film, without any hassle and without a complicated universe. “ This film is designed for entertainment, without any obligation to prepare with prior research», he continues, explaining that he is still committed to respecting the mythology around the characters and their respective stories. Also for Levy, if this duo opposes each other in every way, they are irremediably attracted to each other despite themselves. “They're built around huge conflicts because they're so different individually. This makes for a very interesting story, because the best stories for two […] are strewn with conflicts. But ultimately it’s about something more and that’s what the audience will see,” the director concludes.
