DE charts: Fallout, Helldivers 2 & Stellar Blade

In collaboration with Games Sales Data (GSD), Game, the German video game industry association, published the local software charts from April 2024. In Germany, the various “Fallout” games also benefited from the success of the TV series.

Just shortly after the start of the successful TV series shot the sales figures of the various “Fallout” titles. “Fallout 4,” originally released in November 2015, particularly benefited from the success of the TV series.

But that too free next-gen upgrade may have contributed to the increasing sales figures. As the by GameAs software charts published in April 2024 by , the association of the German video game industry, made clear, the German market was no exception.

In Germany, the TV series also increased sales and ensured that “Fallout 4” secured the top spot on the local software charts last month. With “Fallout 76” in seventh place, “Fallout: New Vegas” in 13th place and “Fallout 3” in 20th place, three more spin-offs returned to the German charts.

How did Stellar Blade perform?

“Helldivers 2”, developed by Arrowhead, continues to sell at an impressive level. Just like in March, the Coop shooter, which was last released with the, landed again withdrawn PSN obligation caused a stir on Steam, in second place.

The top three are completed by EA’s football simulation “EA Sports FC 24”. This had to vacate first place and ended up in third place in April 2024. This is followed by two old friends from the previous months: “GTA 5” and “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3”.

The first and only newcomer in the top 20 is waiting in sixth place. We're talking about the PS5-exclusive action title Stellar Blade, which has been released in the last few days the community was thrilled.



While the racing game “Gran Turismo 7” also managed to re-enter the local software charts at number 10, Capcom’s action role-playing game “Dragon’s Dogma 2” had to give up a lot. After the successful start in March 2024, it was only in 15th place last month.

Below are the top 20 German software charts published by Game and Games Sales Data (GSD for short) in April 2024. Apart from Nintendo's games in the eShop, both physical and digital sales are taken into account in the charts.
