Conjunctivitis!
Spotted by VG247, the mod “Dragonsplague Counter” thought for Dragon's Dogma 2 is being talked about at the moment. Indeed, on forums and on social networks, two camps clash. There is someone who finds that this mod destroys the experience imagined by Capcom, and there is someone who, on the contrary, finds it of certain use. But what exactly are we talking about?
In Dragon's Dogma II, there is a plague that quickly becomes restrictive for the player, that of the dragon plague. The latter is contagious, can kill a significant number of protagonists and, icing on the cake, disrupts the management of pawns. There is no preventative medicine to counter contamination, but there are signs that are unmistakable. Undetectable on the pawn's profile, the disease manifests itself by complaints from the pawn, by strange behavior, and by the eyes of the infected which glow a red color. If the player lets the protagonist's condition worsen, the latter will unleash a calamity: he will wipe out all the characters in the surrounding area.

The scourge of all scourges
For many Dragon's Dogma 2 players, this dragon plague is one of the most interesting elements of the software. It allows the player to continually doubt and question the loyalty of his pawns. According to them, the fact of not clearly indicating to the player who is contaminated and at what level of contamination the pawn is turns out to be a real plus for the experience. However, modder “rthomasv3” has developed a mod indicating who is affected by the scourge. In details, the mod adds a counter on the characters' faces displaying the level of disease on all infected pawns in the group. “The maximum value is 10 and the pawn's eyes start glowing at 7. The counter only displays if the pawn is hit and only works for pawns in your group”, reads the mod’s description.

While some fans feel that this mod takes away one of Dragon's Dogma 2's best features, others appreciate being able to immediately identify this problem. Furthermore, as recalled GamesRadarthis mod is a plus for accessibility, the red eyes of the pawns are not always easy to detect for some players.
