Clay Farming and Locations: Wickedness Never Sleeps

To progress certain building projects in No Rest for the Wicked, you need the rare resource clay. However, you won't find the raw material on every street corner and even in treasure chests, clay only appears very rarely. In this guide we will tell you where and how you can farm clay the fastest.

Why do I need sound?

Sound is required in No Rest for the Wicked, to complete construction projects in the City of Sacrament. To do this, visit the master craftsman Danos in the main square of the city and select “building projects”. For example, if you want to fully upgrade Whittacker's crafting hut, Fillmore's blacksmith shop or Caroline's inn, you have to give away clay in addition to spruce wood and iron ore.

Unfortunately, the resource is one of the rather rare items in action RPGs because it is not dropped by opponents and is only rarely contained in glittering chests. The latter can only be opened once all enemies in the area have been eliminated. You have a higher probability of success if you dig for clay.

Clay locations in the starting area

The starting areas Shallows, sailors' festivals and Orban swamps promise the highest chances of finding clay deposits. We have marked all 15 excavation locations for you in the picture above. Each of these locations has a moderate chance of containing clay.

In order to be able to dig up the resources at all, you need at least a copper shovel. However, this breaks relatively quickly. If you want to shorten the digging process and also reduce the loss of durability, you should if possible Better to use an iron shovel.

Farm clay quickly in No Rest for the Wicked

If you have already spent a few hours in the game and leveled up your character a little (we recommend at least level 12), there is a quick way to farm clay.

You can do this in the main menu of No Rest for the Wicked create a new empire and visit this with your leveled up hero. This means you don't have to wait for all the excavation locations to respawn, you have an easy time dealing with the local opponents and you can go through all the sound spots one after the other before returning to your original realm.

Of course, you keep all the items that your character collects in the realms. Once all locations have been looted, you can simply delete the empire and create a new empire again. This way you will quickly have enough clay to complete all construction projects.
