Classic Games Collection gets Genesis classics

Limited Run Games announces that the “Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection” will include another classic. The action platformer will support save states and in-game maps like the other games in the collection. A video shows suitable retro scenes.

The “Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection” will include the Mega Drive/Genesis classic “Jurassic Park: Rampage Edition” in addition to the games announced in July, publisher Limited Run Games announced on “X”.

The announcement is accompanied by a short video that provides a look at the classic gaming experiences below.

The added action platformer will – like the previously announced games in the collection – have save states and in-game maps that can help players escape.

The “Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection” includes the following classics that were once published for the Nintendo Entertainment System, the Game Boy, the Super Nintendo Entertainment System and Mega Drive/Genesis:

  • Jurassic Park
  • Jurassic Park Part 2: The Chaos Continues
  • Jurassic Park: Rampage Edition

Fans of the classics can explore Isla Nublar and, depending on the game, take on the role of Dr. Alan Grant or a Velociraptor hatch as they collect eggs, overcome dangerous creatures, restore power to the park, collect new weapons and ultimately escape.

Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection costs up to $174.99

The “Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection” will be offered in several editions, starting at 34.99 euros. For $30 more you can also get a package with a steelbook and a VHS case.

The most expensive, at 174.99 euros, is the Prehistoric Edition, which is a replica of Dr. Alan Grant, mini replicas of the original Jurassic Park NES, Game Boy and SNES cartridges, the soundtrack and other content includes.
